Celebration is a desirable master planned community developed by the Walt Disney Company near Walt Disney World in Osceola County. The philosophy behind the town is to have a neighborly place with homes surrounding the town center within a 1-mile radius. The town uses the concept of new urbanism to emphasize parks, sidewalks, and a mix of residential and commercial space. Renowned architects designed the bank, the post office, the town hall, the movie theater, and other downtown buildings. The downtown host festivals and town events. Because of the towns close proximity, people travel by segway scooters and small electric cars called "NEVs" ("Neighborhood Electric Vehicle"). There are eight developments of different pre-approved style homes including Victorian, Mediterranean, French, Coastal, and Colonial Revival, and there are seven general "sizes" of homes ranging from cozy Bungalows to huge Estates. Celebration offers unique homes and is connected directly to all Disney Parks through the street of World Drive.
