Storey Park is the newest of Orlando neighborhoods located in the Lake Nona area. This master planned community is built around five pillars : Community, Nature, Health, Story and Home. This community just broke ground in the fall of 2015 and is in the early stages of building.
The homes of Storey Park are built by well known Lennar Homes. Lennar is known for their everything’s included approach to home building. The homes of Storey Park will offer buyers a large range of features and quality finishes without upgrade charges such as granite counter tops, appliances, and energy efficient homes certified by a third party. There are two smaller neighborhood enclaves planned for Storey Park with homes ranging in size from 2,100 to 3,900 square feet with a mix of town homes and single family homes. Storey Park Manors, the single family home community, so far has four different floor plans in the works. Prices of homes for sale range around $350,000 to $430,000.
Storey Park will be brimming with community specific amenities.
Hedge Max will be a multi-function green space available for community and private events. Also in the plans for community amenities are little free lending libraries, a town center with restaurants and retail space, an Eco Tower with views of the community, pedestrian and bike paths and a large number of parks. Parks will include wildflower parks, Hammock Beach, Marshtackie Park, Community Park, Lake Park and Firefly Park.
Storey Park is located on the corner of Dowden Road and the 417 giving easy access to everything in the area. 417 is right at the Story Park entrance making it easy to get to downtown Orlando just 20 minutes away, area theme parks only 30 minutes away, coastal beaches such as Cocoa Beach only 45 minutes away,, and of course Lake Nona Medical City is just down the road. Dowden Road is planned to be connected with Innovation Parkway allowing for even more easy access to modern amenities.
The Area
Lake Nona is Orlando’s community centered around Medical City. A mecca of medical services all in one location: Medical City is host to University of Central Florida Health Sciences Campus, Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute, VA Medical Center, Nemours Children’s Hospital, University of Florida Academic and Research Center, and MD Anderson Orlando Cancer Research Institute. In addition to the Medical City this amazing community has K-12 schools, a variety of parks, shopping centers, office space, golf and country club, and many beautiful new homes.
This community is built with families in mind. There are two private preschools, two elementary schools, one middle school, one high school, and two colleges. The education system in this community works in what is called a collaborative working environment. The collaborative working environment allows the students and residents of Lake Nona to be able to interact in real- time with researchers, doctors, professors and businesses from Medical City and the surrounding commerce area. The schools in Lake Nona also have the latest in technology to further enhance the learning process. Lake Nona High School even has two programs to jump-start a college career partnering with the two colleges.
