Eatonville is a town located in Orange County and is six miles north of Orlando between Maitland and Winter Park. Eatonville, notable as one of America’s oldest municipalities, is most famous former resident, Zora Neale Hurston, who wrote her childhood books, “Their Eyes Were Watching God” and “Dust Tracks on a Road”. Eatonville hosts the annual Zora Neale Hurston Festival of Arts and Humanities, which attracts 50,000 people. Eatonville is planning a streetscape project along Kennedy Blvd, the main street of the town.
